Coffee in Juruaia · MG

Coffee from the land of the Coffee Mountains.

Juruaia grew up among coffee fields. Café da Lee is born here and takes the flavor of southern Minas Gerais to the world.

Café da Lee

Coffee runs on a different time.

Before becoming the Lingerie Capital of Brazil, Juruaia was coffee country, and it still is: the bean covers most of the municipality's planted area. The town is part of the Montanhas Cafeeiras (Coffee Mountains) Circuit, alongside Guaxupé, Muzambinho and Nova Resende.

The Ateliê brings together coffees from Southern Minas and prepares Café da Lee, a signature line dedicated to origin and to the stories behind each harvest.

How to brew pour-over coffee the Minas Gerais way

  1. Use about 1 heaping tablespoon (10 g) of ground coffee for every 150 ml of water.
  2. Heat the water until almost boiling (it shouldn't bubble vigorously).
  3. Rinse the paper or cloth filter with hot water to remove its taste.
  4. Wet the grounds with a little water and wait 30 seconds.
  5. Pour the rest slowly, in circles.
  6. Serve right away: reheated coffee loses its aroma.
