Juruaia has about 20 waterfalls. The best known is Cachoeira da Eufrásia, with a drop of about 50 meters and a swimming pool. There are also falls in Serra do Caipora and Serra da Mata. Go with someone who knows the way and avoid them after heavy rain.

Respect nature and the landowner
Many waterfalls are on private property. Ask for permission, close gates behind you and leave nothing behind.
Best time to visit
From April to September, the dry season, trails are firmer and the water is clearer. In summer the falls are fuller, but heavy rain can cause flash floods: never enter the river if the water suddenly changes color or volume.
